Background

The present Gilgit-Baltistan area was dominated by Buddhism, which left various signs of Rock inscribed, writings and pictures dating back to between 5000 BC To 8th century AD. Thousands of points are found in different parts of Gilgit-Baltistan but the most important are:

Buddhism took birth from Hinduism, Ashoka is considered the founder Ruler of Buddhism ruled in Subcontinent from C 268 to 232 BCE. He converted to Buddhism and become an orthodox Buddhist who imposed Buddhism as official Religion. During his regime, he sent missionaries to the neighbor countries for spreading his religious ideology. It was he who opened rout to Kashmir between Gilgit Baltistan, somehow, Gilgit- Baltistan Become the Centre of Buddhism…

DAY 2

Islamabad to Chilas, we will reach Airport early in the morning for the flight to Gilgit if the weather allows us, most of the flights often cancel due to bad weather conditions… The alternate way in case of cancelation of flight by road via KKH (Karakorum Highway) world highest elevated paved roads in the world. It is an adventurous journey over the lofty mountainous track while observing the type locality on the edge of slopes. The road passes through historical Town Taxila, and lush green Hazara Division, Abbottabad, Mansehra Besham, Dassu, and Kohistan…    This journey will continue for 12 hours to reach Chilas. Overnight at Chilas

DAY 3

Chilas is a town of Gilgit-Baltistan located on the Indus River. It was the part of Slik Rout one of the most important trading routes which connect China and Pakistan. It is very hot and dry weather in summer days whereas very dry cool in winter ….
